I love humanity . . . it's people I can't stand.
Thanks...will try and keep the Scottish slang to a minimum.
No, by all means, slang away!! That way I can say things to idiot co-workers, idiot drivers, my kids, and they'll never know what I'm going on about. That is the until the day they say something like "Full stop!!" or somesuch . . . ;-)
"punter" was a favorite of my old boss... not sure exactly what it meant but I'm pretty sure it wasn't a pleasantry....
I still want confirmation on "bampots". I don't even know if it's one or two words . . .
Bampot is one word and is just a derogatory name to call some one some other choice words to call people -eejitdiddyfudand my favouritefannybawshttp://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=fannybaws
Now that's what I'm talkin' about!! Hmm. I've got to think up some U.S. slang that you wouldn't already know . . . so we can continue this crosscultural mission . . . .
Punter is non-derogatory.Generally = customer.Strictly it's someone placing a bet (a punt), usually on the horses. Also more loosely used as a generic term for person.
Oooh, good one. I just draw a blank though when I try and think up things I say that aren't widely known, but are still slangy. I mean, the only one's I've got are like dweeb, wussie (or the whus variant), tard, and fuglie. But y'all probably know those . . .
fuglie I hadn't heard.I dunno, you're coming up with your own dialect that others are adopting now and extending.
fuglie = shorthand for f***ing ugly . . . Quite rude . . . but still funny. Yes, I'm getting quite the linquistic following . . . muahahaaa!!I've ven reverse smart-alecked folks into saying "sorry" when they post their PRs. Ha!
