Zone update

Not a bad few days on the zone. Felt a little foggy today but think that was lack of sleep.

And last night . . . dinner was a salad (6 cups of lettuce, 1 cup of tomato), beef (5 oz), three cups of green beans . . .

At some point in there I realized I had 10 cups of vegetables staring me down . . . it was a long meal . . .

Weight was 168 this am.

That's why I can't understand why anyone can be hungry zoning. If you make broccoli, lettuce etc. your friend the volume you have to consume is enormous and making it through it is more of a problem than anything. And I'm not following it as strictly as you. Loved your wife putting the scales and measuring cup down at your plate. Very funny!

Of course weathering the initial sugar cravings is something else.

I've done it both ways . . . veggies piled up and two and a half oranges.

Sometimes, I make the wrong choice and the two and half oranges and apples, just aren't enough . . . but I can't bring 10 cups of greens to the office . . .

Yeah, that sugar thing took about a week. It used to hit me hard when I was weightlifting. Now, not so much, or actually, after the first week, not at all. I've had the stray M&M, but that's about it . . . and I had a couple cookies today, from a co-worker and frankly, the woman can bake like nobody's business and since I'm not a zone priest, I had two little ones . . .
